Frustration kicks in to push us to try new approaches when our efforts stop working. It makes us uncomfortable so that staying stuck becomes harder than trying something new.
Good Ideas
  • Name the frustration trigger
  • Take a 90-second reset to breathe
  • Separate what you can control
  • Switch tasks for 10–15 minutes
  • Break up work into micro-steps
  • Move around to discharge tension
  • Ask for specific help or resources
Bad Ideas
  • Vent without problem-solving
  • Avoid the task entirely
  • Make decisions while in a mood
  • Snap at people around you
  • Force it while you're exhausted
  • Replay the blockage repeatedly
  • Shame yourself for feeling frustrated
